The Eagles are coming off the bye, seem to be pretty fresh and healthy with Lane Johnson returning from a concussion. During the week they traded for pass rusher Robert Quinn from the Bears for a 4th round draft pick to bolster the defensive line. The strong get stronger, and it reflects in the double digit line that Vegas has set as they host the Steelers at the Linc.
On paper, this should be no contest. The Steelers have struggled for most of the season so far as they try to find an identity. Running back Najee Harris is a load to bring down, and he can do it all out of the back field, but he has gotten off to a slow start this season. After that, the Steelers offense features Dionte Johnson and rookie George Pickens running routes against Darius Slay and James Bradbury. That’s an edge for the Eagles.
The Steelers will be without TJ Watt, arguably their best defensive player. I am looking for a Miles Sanders type of game today, as the Eagles will look to control the clock by running, and running often. When all is said and done, the Eagles will cover the spread. Eagles 30, Steelers 16

Who would have thought we’d be coming off of the bye week going into week 8 at 6-0, but here we are. The Eagles actually made a splash during the bye week by trading for one of better sack guys in the league Robert Quinn, from the Chicago Bears. Eagles sent a 4th round pick and Bears will pay the majority of his salary (Howie strikes again). Back to the game, originally I thought this would be a tough game but now I actually don’t think this is close, especially with the Steelers missing TJ Watt. The Eagles made Micah Parsons look average by going right at him and Cowboys defense is much better than the Steelers. The Eagles defense is gonna feast on the young QB Kenny Pickett as the Eagles get a few turnovers and a few sacks win a lopsided game Eagles 34, Steelers 14

The Eagles are coming off of a well needed bye week as some players have been banged up and took the time to heal and cheer on our beloved Phillies. The Eagles also added a dominate pass rusher which reminds me of the time they added Chris Long to the defense. One returning player from concussion protocol is Lane Johnson which is huge to sure up the offensive line. The Eagles will remain the only undefeated team at the end of this game as the Steelers are trying to find an identity. The team is trying to go through it with Tomilin as their coach, and they will eventually find it but not today. Eagles 38, Steelers 10

The Eagles got a well-deserved by after beating the hated rival, Cowboys. They now fact their cross-state rivals, the Steelers at home. They face rookie QB Kenny Pickett who has struggled a bit in the early goings of his career, with big shoes to fill replacing Big Ben. The Steelers seem to have the Eagles right where they want them as both of their wins in 7 tries have come as huge underdogs. The Steelers have talent at the skill positions with Najee Harris, Dionte Johnson, Chase Claypool, George Pickens and Pat Friermuth. But their QB struggles, and their offensive line is still awful. Meaning Robert Quinn, the Eagles newest acquisition might be able to endear himself early to the fans.
Defensively the Steelers give up the 3rd most average passing yards and 3rd most TDs. Rushing wise they are a little better than average but there is no question that they miss their leader TJ Watt who went down early in the season and is out for this game.
In doing some halfhearted research I came up with the below.

The Eagles are better in every single one of these categories.
Eagles at home, coming off a bye against a team that as shown above is inferior in every category. One paper this game should be a blowout. I think it will be. Eagles 27 Steelers 13

Kenny Pickett has thrown seven interceptions in four games, and now the Steelers rookie quarterback is about to face a stout Eagles defense.
This won’t end well for Pittsburgh, who really struggled offensively against the Dolphins in Week 7. Pittsburgh’s offense is just not that good, despite pulling off a few surprise wins.
The Steelers have great weapons— wide receivers Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, rookie George Pickens and tight end Pat Freiermuth. But Pickett is learning as he goes.
Expect Darius Slay, James Bradberry, C. J. Gardner- Johnson and other members of the secondary to be busy and wreak havoc on Pickett, who will have his flashes in this game but overall should struggle.
It will be very surprising if the Steelers score more than 20 points. It’s just not happening.
Even bigger? Standout linebacker TJ Watt remains out. That bodes well for the entire Eagles offense, which should be well-rested after their bye week. Could this be the week Philly actually scores more in the second half? This could be a well-rounded game for the Eagles.
Jalen Hurts should continue playing at a high-level, and look for the Eagles to exploit a Watt-less defense early. Eagles 30, Steelers 17
