There is a lot to discuss right now.

Let’s put aside the fact the Philadelphia Eagles are 7-0 for only the second time in franchise history, the last being 2004. Yes, the Eagles advanced that season to the Super Bowl.

Foreshadowing? Well, let’s address that later.

For now, let’s also put aside the Eagles’ dominant 35-13 victory over the Steelers, which is not surprising. Great teams should beat up on bad ones. But Philly did play an incredible game, and there are so many positives to talk about.

One stands out the most— Jalen Hurts.

Hurts was 19 for 28 with 285 yards and four passing touchdowns. Let’s say that again. FOUR passing TDs. There have been a lot of negative comments about the standout quarterback, one being he runs too much or is just a game-manager. Some say he’s not a franchise caliber quarterback.

Every week he proves the haters wrong.

Entering the season, Eagles fans didn’t know what to expect from Hurts. Some thought the Eagles should trade for Russell Wilson. Howie Roseman, thank you! Just thank you for not making that mistake.

With each game, Hurts is improving. Hurts is growing as a passer and, especially Sunday, Hurts showed his arm strength. And he only had 10 rushing yards! And don’t get me wrong. Hurts having the ability to extend the play with his legs is huge. But last season, he had to learn to pass first then run. Running should not be the first option, unless it’s a designed play.

Hurts can be a quarterback and not just a glorified running back. He really proved that Sunday. And he has been proving that as the season unfolds.

To anyone who still doubts him. … I’m sorry.

Now, flip the script to the player who capitalized on Hurts’ great passes— SWOLE Batman, AJ Brown.

Brown is just incredible.

Brown is the best receiver in Eagles’ history since Terrell Owens. I can’t think of someone better since T.O. How nice is it to finally have a wide receiver?

Brown finished with six receptions 156 yards and three touchdowns. His scores were 39-, 27-, and 29-yard catches, respectively, and between defenders. Hurts made the throw, he made the play.

The duo was unbelievable.

Oh, remember those offensive second-half woes? Well the Eagles weren’t perfect but the performance was a lot better. That catch-and-run by Zach Pascal was so awesome. It was great to see him make that play.

That 43-yard pass from Hurts to Brown to set up Sanders’ score was a great drive (correction, a two- play drive). The second half was much better.

The defense? Again, amazing. Again, not surprising. We all know the defense is solid. Steelers rookie QB Kenny Pickett had four interceptions entering the game, and that streak continued. He was sacked six times. Avonte Maddox recovered a fumble. Eleven quarterback hits, seven deflected passes and a lot of tackles for loss.

The Eagles are the best team in NFC.

A well-rounded squad.

The starters were taken out about midway through the fourth quarter Sunday. A good idea as they play again on Thursday night. And the Eagles should beat the Texans and the Commanders on Nov. 14.

It’s hard to go undefeated, and a loss may be inevitable. But the next three games should be locks, especially if the Eagles’ keep playing at this level.

I think the first loss may come to the Titans, and the Eagles should want that loss soon. Get it out of the way soon, and refocus for the rest of the season. Losing to the Giants is not an option, but if they remain close with the Eagles in the standings.

Now, let’s hope this momentum from Sunday carries over to the Phillies on Monday
