The news most Philadelphia Eagles’ fans have been waiting for arrived Friday.

Jalen Hurts will start against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni announced Friday that Hurts has cleared concussion protocol, He was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice and was upgraded to a full participant Thursday.

Hurts missed the last two games against the Cowboys and Giants with a concussion he suffered against the Washington Commanders in Week 16. The hit happened in the first quarter. Since he missed the last two games and most of the Washington game, he has only played in 12 snaps in basically a month.

“He’s had a really good week of practice,” Sirianni said. “A really good week.”

Sirianni also announced wide receiver A.J. Brown is on expected to play on Sunday. He was listed on the team’s injury report this week (rest/knee). Brown was listed as limited participant during Wednesday’s practice, leaving after just 10 minutes with a kneee injury,  and was a non-participant in Thursday’s session.

But the Eagles are expected to have Hurts and Brown on Sunday, which is great news as the Eagles look to win yet another playoff under Sirianni.

“You’ll see the injury report, the practice report from today,” Sirianni said of Brown. “But giving him some rest at this stage in the season. It’s been a long road so giving him some rest yesterday to make sure that he’s in the best shape he can be to play on Sunday.”
