We all knew Rhys Hoskins wasn’t coming back to the Phillies this season, but now it’s official with him finding a new home.
The first baseman reached a two-year, $34 million deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Hoskins can opt-out of the deal after the first season.
Hoskins missed the entire 2023 season after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in training camp. He was reportedly on track to return if the Phillies made the World Series, but they lost in the NLCS.
In 2022, Hoskins hit .246 with 30 home runs and 79 RBIs.
The Brewers are set to play the Phillies from June 3-5 at Citizens Bank Park
