The most difficult stretch of the Eagles’ schedule continues Sunday against the Bills, who really haven’t been great this season but still have a ton of talent, including quarterback Josh Allen, wide receiver Stefon Diggs and others.
Listen, I thought the Eagles were going to lose against the Chiefs. The secondary hasn’t been like last season. I just didn’t know how they would stop Patrick Mahomes, who finished the game with 4.1 yards per attempt, which was the lowest of his career. So, I’ll gladly admit I was wrong about the game
The Eagles defense slowed down the Dolphins, another game I did not expect the Birds to win. Against Dallas, the defense allowed only six points in the second half. Listen, the defense hasn’t been spectacular at all this season, but are getting the job done and helping the Eagles stay in games.
James Cook is averaging five yards per carry, but the front should shut him down. Diggs had an off week against the Jets, so he may be due for a good game. Diggs will get his yards and a touchdown or two. But Buffalo had just been too inconsistent this year. The Bills had only lost 12 games the last three years, but already lost five this year and have 19 turnovers, the fifth-most in the league. The biggest key is not letting Allen get hot. We know he can be dangerous. If Allen is pressured (he has been sacked only 14 times this year) , then it should be a long day for the Bills.
The main concern I have is the Eagles’ offense, more so the passing game. The Eagles are missing Dallas Goedert, both his blocking and receiving abilities. It was an issue Monday. The passing game was not bad, don’t get me wrong. It’s just better with Goedert, and the Chiefs did a great job defending the pass. Luckily, Jalen Hurts was clutch (like usual) and helped win that game with his rushing scores. As long as he is there, it’s hard to get too worried.
This matchup will not be easy. But being at home, the Eagles will win. So, the passing game should look a lot better than Monday. Maybe they will get an early lead and run out the clock, which is possible. But I think the game will be close. Still, the Eagles should come out of it 10-1 and have a two-game lead in the NFC over the Lions, the Niners and Dallas, which will also be two out of the NFC East if the Eagles win.
Eagles 27, Bills 22

The Eagles coming off a huge win face the Bills, who are coming off destroying the Jets. The Eagles will be looking very sharp in the Kelly greens today, which will have nothing to do with the outcome, lol.
Let’s look at the Bills who we thought going into the season would be an elite team, they have been majorly hit with injuries. That doesn’t seem to be problem with them though, Josh Allen leads league in TD’s but also has most turnovers since he was drafted. At 6-5, the Bills will need every win that they can get.
The Eagles are 9-1 and have yet to play a complete game, but have proven they can win in many different ways. They seem to make a play when it’s needed most. It would be nice to see them control a game from beginning to end, but unfortunately I don’t think that happens this week.
After an emotional win last week, and a huge match up with Niners next week, and a Bills team playing desperate I think this is a trap game. Bills get the Birds.
Bills 30, Eagles 27
