The start of the game was very interesting to watch both teams compete hard but we saw LAFC score first at 30.1 the minute mark . Coming out at halftime the Philadelphia Union scored at 62.1 mins to tie it up, sending the match to overtime. The Union scored first in extra time but with the waning minutes, LAFC scored ito knit it back up at 2-2. Then Union took the lead again, followed by yet another LAFC goal forcing at penalty kick shootout to determine the champion. LAFC capitalized with their kicks, as the Union was shutout in the round to take home the MLS CUP .
