This is the most meaningful Eagles/Dallas game in 9 years. The undefeated Eagles taking on a (maybe more surprising) 4-1 Cowboys team on Sunday Night Football. The table could not have been set more perfectly. Philadelphia sports have been on fire lately, so a huge game at Lincoln Financial Field should be nothing short of electric.
The Eagles defense has been stifling for most of the season, and the Cowboys haven’t played against one like this since week one when they met the Buccaneers. Cooper Rush is undefeated as a starter in the NFL, but I expect the Eagles’ pass rush to disrupt him enough to make some mistakes. The Eagles offense will have their hands full as well, (even with Micah Parsons banged up) but they have too many weapons for Dalalas to handle. I am looking at AJ Brown to have a big game tonight and the Eagles to squeak out the win. Eagles 27, Cowboys 23

Here we are at week six in the and the Eagles remain the only undefeated team in the NFL. The fans in Philadelphia are on an emotional high after the Phillies advanced to the NLCS in gritty Philadelphia fashion. With that being said, the Dallas defense has looked extremely legit this season which to me personally has kept them in contention with the Eagles. I believe with the fans being high on the Phillies win,the 12th man is the difference maker tonight and the Eagles win this gridiron battle. Eagles 27, Dallas 20

The Cowboys have an incredible defense, and there is no denying that. Over the last two weeks, Dallas has only allowed 10 points (no more than 19 all season). Dallas also only allows an average of about 311 yards per game. Yes, Cooper Rush had 839 yards with four touchdowns and zero interceptions, but is he the sole reason for their four-game winning streak? I think it’s more because of the defense, led by Penn State star Micah Parsons.
But enough about the Cowboys.
The Eagles have an equally strong defense. Aside from Week 1, the Eagles are averaging 11.25 points in four games. In all five games, Philly is averaging about 295 yards of total offense. Jonathan Gannon has also been bringing more pressure, which is something needed for this prime time game. Jalen Hurts has 1,359 passing yards and four touchdowns along with 266 rushing yards and six TDs. But like Rush and Dallas, the Eagles’ defense has played a major role in the early-season success.
Except this game to be a denser battle, especially given the Eagles’ having a hard time scoring in the second half this season. Still, the Eagles have the advantage on offense and will find a way to beat Dallas. The Phillies made Philadelphia fans happy Saturday, and the Birds will cap the weekend with a victory. Eagles 20, Cowboys 16

Well here we are, Dallas week! Coming into the season the word was the NFC East was the weakest division in football, outside of Washington that narrative is completely wrong. The Cowboys defense is one of the better units in the league, Micah Parsons is drawing comparisons to the great Lawrence Taylor. As good as their defensive line is, the secondary if you ask me is a little overrated. Diggs will most likely get a pick but he’s also going to get burnt. A.J. Brown has been a little quiet. I think that changes this week.
Offensively, there is nothing scary about the Cowboys offense, they can run the ball and Eagles have struggled a bit vs the run but that’s not gonna win game for Dallas. One last thought; if Jalen Hurts has a monster game, he’s most likely getting paid during the bye week. In an exciting hard fought NFC East battle I like the Eagles 24, Cowboys 17

The Eagles remain the only undefeated team after avoiding overtime due to Arizona’s replacement kicker badly missing a very makeable FG and likely having to walk home from the stadium and never see the sidelines of an NFL team again. Considering all the obstacles, traveling across the country for the game, having a hated division rival up next for a primetime game this week, 3 of their offensive linemen being out at one time due to injuries, and having a replacement kicker of their own, it was an impressive win, even if they were still expected to win.
So as mentioned above, we have the hated rival Cowboys who are off to an impressive start themselves, despite not having their starting QB, and winning 4 straight with Cooper Rush. I don’t think Rush has been the reason for the hot start or anyone on the offense really. They are tied for second lowest in the conference at 93 points scored right now. What has been the reason is the defense which is second lowest in the conference in points against. The Eagles actually have the second highest points scored in the conference so something has to give.
Neither team has had a tough schedule thus far so it makes it a tough game to predict. I feel that the Eagles are the better team though when taking both sides of the ball into account. I think Dallas defense is good but the Eagles are one of the better offenses that they have faced. They simply will have too many weapons for Dallas to stop them all. I am still not a Diggs fan in the same way that I was not as much a fan of Asante Samuel when he was an Eagle, as someone that gambles and thus has great interception stats but s deeper dive shows some flaws. Smith has had some decent games and I think this is a game where they focus on getting Brown involved and it pays off. It won’t be a blowout but the Eagles stay in control to keep Dallas at arms length. Especially on a primetime game at home with a fired up crowd still on the emotional high of the Phillies 2 wins the past two days to clinch a spot in the NLCS. Eagles 26 Cowboys 17.
